North End Phase II
Milwaukee, WI
Following the success of ONE, The North End’s first phase, Phase II consists of two additional mixed-use retail and apartment buildings. Building 2 contains 55 apartment units while Building 3 has 100. As with ONE, these buildings will feature green roofs and a large multi-use lobby. The development of a new street and riverwalk that begin in Phase I will continue, and includes sustainable on-site water management through bioswales.
The North End is a multi-phase project serving as a showcase for sustainable urban development. The USGBC
® selected the project to be a LEED-ND® (Neighborhood Development) pilot project, aiming to integrate the principles of smart growth, new urbanism and green building. ONE, completed in 2009, has received numerous accolades.
